Lakshmi Basile, an award winning flamenco dancer also known by her stage name, “La Chimi,” performs in Seville, Spain.

In 2011, she became the first non-Spanish artist to win an award in the prestigious flamenco contest, Concurso de las Minas de La Unión. She also received an award in the Concurso Nacional de Arte Flamenco e Córdoba.
